Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: October 2025
Welcome to Spoke Society. We’re so excited to move with you. Before you book a class or step into the studio, please take a few minutes to read through these terms. They outline how we operate, what you can expect from us, and what we ask in return so that everyone in our community has the best experience possible.
Scope of Agreement
At Spoke Society, we’re more than a fitness studio. We’re a community built on rhythm, strength, and connection. These Terms and Conditions explain how our services work and what you can expect when you ride, train, or engage with us, whether online or in person.
When we say “Spoke Society,” “we,” or “us,” we’re talking about Spoke Society LLC, based in Fishtown, Philadelphia at 1325 N. Lee Street.
You can experience Spoke Society through:
● Our website: www.spoke-society.com
● Our mobile app
● Our studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia
● Our digital platforms and community events
By booking a class, stepping into the studio, connecting with us online, or attending one of our events, you’re agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. They help keep our community safe, fair, and running smoothly so we can all focus on what matters most: showing up, moving together, and feeling stronger every day.
1. Booking Policy, Waitlist & Late Arrivals
Classes open for booking seven days in advance. Each week at noon, we release new classes so you can plan your schedule, reserve your spot, and lock in your favorite instructor. To book, create an account through our website or app, view the schedule, and secure your ride. Because classes fill quickly, we recommend booking 3–5 days ahead to get your preferred time.
If a class is full don’t sweat it, join the waitlist. You’ll be added automatically as spots open in the order you signed up. If you’re moved off the waitlist more than six hours before class, you’ll receive an email confirming your spot. If a spot opens closer to class time, just arrive at least five minutes early and we’ll release any openings to the waitlist in order. Because sometimes, the best rides are the unexpected ones!
If your plans change, please remove yourself from the class or waitlist as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 12 hours of class are considered late cancellations. You’ll forfeit the class from your package and, if you’re on a membership, a late-cancel fee will apply. If you’re added from the waitlist and don’t attend, it will be treated as a no-show and the same policy applies. If you’re not admitted from the waitlist, your class credit automatically returns to your account, no action needed.
We ask all riders to arrive at least five minutes before class begins. Those final moments matter—they help us set up bikes, finalize the roster, and welcome in anyone from the waitlist without delaying your workout. Think of it as our version of boarding time: once the doors close, Cycle x Strength takes off.
If you arrive after class begins and your spot hasn’t been released, you’re still welcome to join, just check-in at the front desk, and quietly enter the room so the energy keeps flowing for everyone already in motion.
All bookings, cancellations, and payments are managed through Mariana Tek, our studio management system.
2. Memberships and Class Packages
When you join Spoke Society, whether through a membership or a class pack, you’re not just signing up for workouts, you’re joining a community that moves together in rhythm, strength, and purpose.
All memberships renew automatically each month using the payment method saved to your account. Your renewal date will match the day you first signed up, making it easy to keep your momentum going. If a payment doesn’t process, your account may be placed on hold until it’s updated, see Declined or Failed Payments for details.
Class packs and single sessions can be purchased anytime and used before their expiration date. Single sessions are designed for individual use and can’t be shared or transferred, but your class packs and memberships can be used to treat a guest to a ride or workout with you because movement is better shared.
From time to time, we’ll offer limited promotions or special packages. These are final sale and may come with unique expiration timelines, which will always be listed at purchase.
3. Membership Holds and Freezes
We understand that life happens. Injuries, travel, new jobs, or sometimes you just need a break. Members with a recurring monthly membership can freeze their membership for up to 30 days per year in one or more increments.
To request a hold, email us at info@spoke-society.com at least seven (7) days before your next billing date with the dates you’d like your freeze to begin and end. Billing will automatically resume on your reactivation date, and you’ll be ready to hop back in class.
4. Cancellation Policy, Late Cancels, and No-Shows
We get it—life happens. Plans change, alarms don’t go off, and sometimes your day just takes a turn. Still, every empty bike means someone else in our community misses their chance to ride. Our cancellation policy keeps things fair for everyone while keeping the studio energy full and balanced.
Canceling a class: You can cancel up to 12 hours before class with no penalty. If you cancel within 12 hours of the start time, the following applies:
● Membership: $20 late-cancel fee and loss of one class credit.
● Class Packs: Forfeit one class credit, no fee.
● Intro Offer or Single Class: Credit remains on your account; $20 late-cancel fee applies.
No-shows: If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, a $25 no-show fee and/or credit forfeiture will apply.
If you’re running late, give us a quick call, we’ll do our best to hold your spot. Repeated late cancels or no-shows may result in booking restrictions. We’re all about showing up for each other, so thank you for helping us keep the rhythm going.
5. Declined or Failed Payments
We understand cards expire, billing addresses change, and banks occasionally block transactions. If a payment doesn’t go through, our studio management software (Mariana Tek) will automatically retry your card on file over the next few days. You’ll receive an email notification if a charge fails, so you can update your payment method before your booking or membership is affected.
If payment isn’t resolved after three (3) retry attempts or within five (5) days, your account and class reservations will be temporarily suspended until the balance is cleared. Any processing or bank fees incurred from a failed payment may be passed along at cost.
If unresolved after ten (10) days, your membership may be canceled but don’t worry, we’ll reach out first to make sure you have a chance to fix it.
We’re all about community and transparency. If something unexpected happens with your payment, just reach out at info@spoke-society.com and we’ll get it sorted.
6. Studio Etiquette and Conduct
Spoke Society is a space built on community, respect, and good energy. We ask everyone who enters our studio to contribute to that environment. Please arrive on time, silence your phone, and give your full focus to the workout. Everyone is welcome at Spoke Society. Kindness and respect are the only rules that matter.
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior toward staff or other members will result in immediate removal and possible suspension of your account.
7. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk
We design every class at Spoke Society to challenge you but always with care, intention, and safety at the forefront. Our coaches are trained to guide you through movement that pushes your limits in a supportive and empowering way. Still, fitness comes with certain inherent risks.
By joining a class, event, or session at Spoke Society, you understand and accept that activities like indoor cycling and strength training involve physical exertion and the possibility of injury or discomfort. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation, including any injury, illness, or property damage that may occur while you are on or around the premises.
You agree that Spoke Society, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, and property management are not responsible for any claims or damages that may arise from your participation or use of the studio except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
If you’re pregnant, recovering from injury, or have any health concerns, please let your instructor know before class so we can support you appropriately. Always listen to your body—you know it best.
8. COVID-19 and Communicable Diseases
Even with all precautions, attending in-person classes involves the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, including COVID-19. By participating, you acknowledge and accept that risk.
If you feel unwell or have recently been exposed to illness, please stay home for your safety and others’. Your credit will remain in your account for future use.
9. Personal Belongings
We provide lockers and cubbies for your convenience, but please use them at your own risk. Spoke Society is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. We recommend leaving valuables at home.
10. Media and Recording
We love capturing the energy of our community. From time to time, we may record or photograph classes and events for use on social media or promotional materials. By attending class or our events, you consent to being included in this content. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let a Spoke Society team member know when you check in and we’ll make sure to accommodate.
Recording or filming your own content during class without prior approval from Spoke Society management is not permitted.
11. Refund Policy, Billing, and Payment Processing
All purchases, including memberships, class packs, and single class drop-ins, are non-refundable. Exceptions may be made in cases of verified medical disability or relocation.
All payments for classes, memberships, events, and merchandise are processed securely through Stripe, our trusted payment partner. Stripe handles your payment information in accordance with its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Please refer to Stripe for more details:
● Stripe Services Agreement: https://stripe.com/legal/ssa
● Stripe Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
By completing a purchase with Spoke Society, you authorize Stripe to process payments on our behalf using the card or payment method you provide. We never store your full credit card details, and all transactions are encrypted for your security.
To make booking seamless, you can securely store a card on file in your Spoke Society account. This allows for quick checkouts, auto-renewing memberships, and waitlist charges when you’re added into class. You are responsible for keeping your billing information up to date. You can update or remove your saved card at any time through your account settings.
Your card information is encrypted and processed exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment details. By keeping a card on file, you authorize Spoke Society to charge it for classes, memberships, retail purchases, and any applicable late or no-show fees according to our studio policies.
For your convenience, monthly memberships renew automatically every thirty (30) days using your saved payment method. You’ll receive an email confirmation after each successful renewal, so you always know when your next cycle begins.
If you’d like to make a change, you can cancel or update your membership directly through your account or by contacting us at info@spoke-society.com. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, please submit cancellation requests at least three (3) days before your renewal date.
By purchasing a recurring membership, you agree to ongoing billing until you choose to cancel and authorize Spoke Society (via Stripe) to charge your card automatically each cycle.
12. Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to participate in classes at Spoke Society. Participants under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver (in person) on their behalf before their first class.
13. Limitation of Liability
At Spoke Society, your safety and well-being are always our priority. We design our classes and space to be welcoming, inclusive, and as safe as possible. But fitness classes, by nature, involve movement and effort, which carry some inherent risks.
By participating in classes, workshops, or events at Spoke Society, you acknowledge and accept those risks. You agree that Spoke Society, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, and property management are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur in connection with your participation or presence at the studio except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
We encourage you to listen to your body, follow the Spoke Society coach’s guidance, and let us know if you ever feel uncomfortable or need support. Your safety and the collective energy of our community matters most.
14. Harassment and Inclusivity
Spoke Society is a place where everyone should feel safe, supported, and seen. We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or misconduct of any kind.
If you ever experience or witness behavior that violates this standard, please speak to a staff member or email info@spoke-society.com. We will take it seriously.
15. Changes to Schedule or Services
We occasionally need to adjust our class schedule, swap coaches, or cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances. While we’ll always do our best to provide advance notice, we can’t guarantee the same time or coach every week. Your class credit will never be lost due to a class cancellation initiated by Spoke Society.
16. Dispute Resolution
We hope it never comes to this, but if a disagreement arises, we’ll do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly. If we can’t, any dispute related to your participation at Spoke Society will be handled through binding arbitration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rather than in court.
By agreeing to these Terms, you waive your right to participate in a class action or jury trial.
17. Updates to Our Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, systems, or policies. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continuing to use our Services after updates means you accept the new Terms.
